"Elephant" - Kodak Picture of the Day, May 19, 2006.
This is an elephant at the San Diego Zoo. I took this shot when I was there with my grandchildren in August, 2005. I especially like the close up look at his eye lashes and wrinkled skin. I also like the way the black and white treatment emphasizes the texture.

"All American Girls" - Kodak Picture of the Day, May 7, 2006.
This picture is very special to me because it is a picture of my niece, Jayne, in a very special event - The McDonald's All American High School Girls Basketball Game. The All American team is made up of the top players in the nation. Jayne received the Most Valuable Player award.
"Winter Pears" - Kodak Picture of the Day, September 21, 2005.
I took this picture at a roadside produce stand near my home. It's special to me because when I see winter pears, I know Summer is almost over and Fall will soon be here. I love the way the pears looked on the old, weathered wood shelf with the sun hitting them gently from the side. I could almost feel Fall in the air.
