Susan (snapapple) > Taftsville Covered Bridge
Built in 1836 by Solomon Emmons, it is Vermont's third oldest bridge and at 189 ft., one of the longest. It crosses the Ottauquechee river.

Susan (snapapple) > Crossing over to the other side of the river I discovered a lovely reflection of the Taftsville Covered Bridge captured in the still water pooled by the dam.
The dam is ways away from the bridge so the reflection was a pleasant surprise to me.

Susan (snapapple) > Patches of blue sky peeking through the clouds are reflected in the Ottauquechee river as it spills over the dam.
The bridge is just out of the picture at the right. It's odd how it reflects in the water in the previous photo while it is not directly over the still water.
