Floyd Lamb State Park is located 15 miles northwest of downtown Las Vegas. It's 2040 acres include natural desert areas as well as grassy tree shaded lawns surrounding four small lakes. Chickens, ducks, geese and peacocks are park residents and native desert wildlife can be found throughout the park. Take Hwy 95 to Durango, then right on Brent to the park.

Spring Mountain Ranch is located 6 miles west of Las Vegas via Blue Diamond Rd. (SR 159). It's famous owners include actress Vera Krupp and Howard Hughes.
