Saturday, May 14, after a scenic navigation through the Oslenfiord, we docked in Oslo at the Adershus Pier South, approximately half a mile from the city center. Oslo is Scandinavia's oldest capital city with a sophisticated yet cozy charm. Although the city dates back to 1048, most of it's buildings are from the 19th and 20th century and many are decorated with woodcarvings and bright frescoes. Oslo is a beautiful city with hundreds of parks. Twenty percent of the population of Norway lives in the capital city of Oslo.
This panorama was made from four photos. It shows part of Oslo and the Oslofjord. It was taken from Ekberg Viewpoint at the top of Holmenkollen Hill, the site of the 1952 Olympic ski jumping competition.
