After docking at Rotterdam we took a drive to Amsterdam, passing through lowland countryside dotted with farms, canals and flower fields. We passed the huge commercial flower market that sells to countries around the world.
We took a canal cruise through the city where we saw many of the fine old houses, picturesque houseboats and the secret annex where Anne Frank and her family hid from the Nazis.
