Honfleur, France : After a pleasant drive past vistas of the Normandy countryside and over the new Normandy Bridge spaning the Seine estuary, we arrive at Honfleur. Honfleur is a charming, perfectly preserved 13th century Norman fishing village. It was the base for France's 17th century voyages of colonization and the birthplace of the Impressionist and Romantic art movements. It's cobbled streets are lined with galleries and shops. Amsterdam, Netherlands : After docking at Rotterdam we took a drive to Amsterdam, passing through lowland countryside dotted with farms, canals and flower fields. We passed the huge commercial flower market that sells to countries around the world.

We took a canal cruise through the city where we saw many of the fine old houses, picturesque houseboats and the secret annex where Anne Frank and her family hid from the Nazis.

Southampton, England : Southampton, England is our first port of call on our trans Atlantic Cruise on Princess Cruiselines. With only one day in port at Southampton, it was hard to decide on a tour. We chose The New Forest drive and Exbury Gardens which were in the peak of spring bloom. Another time we will have to visit London, Stonehenge or Corfe Castle. Oslo, Norway : Saturday, May 14, after a scenic navigation through the Oslenfiord, we docked in Oslo at the Adershus Pier South, approximately half a mile from the city center. Oslo is Scandinavia's oldest capital city with a sophisticated yet cozy charm. Although the city dates back to 1048, most of it's buildings are from the 19th and 20th century and many are decorated with woodcarvings and bright frescoes. Oslo is a beautiful city with hundreds of parks. Twenty percent of the population of Norway lives in the capital city of Oslo.

Copenhagen, Denmark : Copenhagen, Denmark was founded by the Vikings in the 11th century. It has a storybook quality about it. There are coppery green towers alongside gingerbread houses, inlets and millponds surrounded by willows and cobblestone streets.
